AWL-Techniek United states is a start-up branch of AWL-Techniek in Harderwijk, The Netherlands, a leading global company in the manufacturing industry. We design and build production systems for the automotive and metalworking industries where automated (laser) welding machines play a vital role. We are an open, progressive and innovative organization with a culture highlighted by 500 dedicated employees who put the customer first.

AWL-Techniek is strengthening the global footprint and will establish in 2017 a company in the United States. Our Ambition is to grow with our team in United States rapidly to fulfill the market demand of our customers. What will be your role?                                       

In a dynamic environment you will be responsible for all the purchase activities within AWL US. You will explore American and foreign supplier markets, concerning supply possibilities, reliability and such. Based on quality and technical requirements you will select the best supplier.

You are involved in the preparation of specifications and purchase orders, coordinate necessary outsourcing, initiate improvement projects, and you will support various departments when it comes to buying parts. Reducing delivery times and realizing cost reductions are a daily part of your job.

What do we expect from you?
You are a team player with excellent communication skills. You are a great negotiator with a technically educated background. Minimum of 3 years of experience, a flexible attitude and fluent in English, Dutch and Spanish. Knowledge of Navision is a plus.
