AWL-Techniek continues to expand!

11 January 2017

What a great year it has been for AWL. Not only did the company reach a record high of 100,000,000 euro intake, it also strengthened its relationship with its customers. With branches fully operational in the Netherlands, Czech Republic and China, the company already has a great footprint. However the ambitions of this Dutch company go further. At the end of 2016 AWL established a new business in Mexico and the first employees started working there. For 2017 the plan is to build another (3rd) hall at the Czech facility to keep up with the growth expansion of the company. In addition AWL is looking at opportunities to develop its own facility in America.

“These steps ensure we can truly be a global partner for our customers, offering local solutions and service around the world” says Van ’t Hof, CEO of AWL.

The continuous push on R&D is helping the company to serve the demanding automotive industry, now and in the future. Modularization is one of the key pillars in the R&D program as customers are able to define their own personal standard based on standard building blocks that have already proven their quality and reliability. With modularization customers get more value for their money. In addition R&D is focusing on future developments such as Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, applications for cobots (collaborative robots), vision and extensive automation. All these developments will contribute to AWL’s further growth

As market leader in the field of robotized laser welding, AWL is living up to its reputation. Not only did the company improve its laser welding applications, it applied the knowledge and expertise in a variety of markets. For the future the company is broadening its scope to a variety of joining technologies to ensure global productivity for its customers.

‘We are very positive about the past year and look forward to the developments in 2017. The opportunities and possibilities are there, and we are ready for a new chapter in our company’s history, Van ’t Hof concludes.
