AWL-Techniek complies with ISO 9001 2015
09 March 2017
Lloyd’s recently audited the AWL management system to establish whether it still complied with the ISO 9001 requirements. On the basis of the samples taken, it was established that AWL complies with the new ISO 9001:2015 standard.
This means that AWL has been certified well before the obligatory deadline of 2018 in accordance with the new standard. With the ISO 9001 certificate, AWL indicates that it is able to comply with customer requirements, the applicable rules and regulations and the requirements of the organization itself.
The most important changes of ISO 9001:2015 compared with ISO 9001:2008 are:
- The focus on leadership and engagement among the top management
- Risk and opportunities focused attitude
- Broader vision on risk management and dealing with opportunities
- Emphasis on measuring, registering and adjusting targets
- Communication and awareness
- Less prescribed procedures
Lloyd's indicates that AWL has an active customer satisfaction policy, that there is an unambiguous policy plan with a clearly formulated policy and targets and that through the Continuous Improvement standard the improvement processes within the organization are integrated into the daily activities.
Rene van Tol, SHEQ Manager at AWL is enthusiastic about the certification: ‘This new certification indicates that we as an organization are occupied with the right things and have attention for affairs like customer satisfaction, risk and opportunities management and achieving targets. In the long run, that ensures that we as an organization are successful and are able to achieve our growth targets’
